Dr. Hermund Feldborg’s passion in the field of dermatology is for tissue sparing and minimally invasive surgical techniques in order to reduce scarring consequences for patients. Too many times he has seen the results of CANCER surgery which solely focused on tumor removal and not the esthetic results the patient will have to live with thereafter. Dr. Feldborg believes that these TWO objectives can live in harmony. Through careful surgical PLANNING, tumors can be removed in their entirety, while also allowing for best post operative cosmetic results.

That being said, Dr. Feldborg loves helping patients with all dermatological conditions and welcomes everyone into his practice. He also routinely lectures on dermatological topics for doctors unions around the country. Dr. Feldborg completed his dermatology speciality in 2020 at Rikshospitalet, which allowed him to work with the most medically complex dermatological patients in the country. His time at Stavanger University Hospital honed his techniques for laser and non-laser surgical techniques. Prior to dermatology, Dr. Feldborg briefly worked as a general practitioner upon completing medical residency at the Vestfold Hospital in Tønsberg. He is a 2013 graduate of Jagiellonian University School of Medicine, in Krakow, Poland.

Dr. Feldborg is from Vrådal in Vest-Telemark, though he also has family ties to Oslo. As a toddler, he contracted meningitis, the effects of which left him deaf. At the age of 16 he underwent Cochlear Implant surgery and his hearing was restored. Though he lived an otherwise normal childhood filled with soccer and snowboarding, his high academic pursuits would have been nearly insurmountable without this surgery. Though his life has since changed, he is often back in Vrådal hitting the slopes and enjoying the lake.
